Your Home Is Your Sanctuary!

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, ‘Home’ is the place (such as a house or apartment) where a person lives. But to us here at California Pools, it is much more than that! There is a comfort felt when most people think of their home; a love, a warmth, a sense of belonging, a place to be true and happy. Home is a trusted place where you can live, laugh, and learn. As they say, “home is where the heart is,” therefore, we like to think of our home as our own personal sanctuary.

During this difficult time while our nation stays home, and self-quarantines to slow the curve of the coronavirus, we hope you take this opportunity to enjoy your family in your personal sanctuary. Being in quarantine does not mean that everything in life needs to stop. There are plenty of healthy activities you can do in the comfort of your home.

Let’s discuss these activities further. If you have already built a California Pools swimming pool with us, then your backyard oasis will be your favorite place to ride out this virus. You can enjoy swimming with your kids, lap swimming for fitness, warm nights in the spa, and healthy dinners on the barbecue. Your kids can also play lawn games such as football or soccer while you read a great novel in the sun. To de-stress from all your worries and concerns, set up a family yoga station on your back patio or lawn area. Some stretching, yoga and meditation will be good for you all, especially after being couped up indoors!

Nobody is happy about the cancelled schools, closed restaurants, packed grocery stores, limited childcare options, and requested home quarantine. However, we are pretty sure that everyone will be thankful when this virus is no longer affecting our communities, and we realize that our isolation has worked.  So instead of looking at this time at home as a “glass empty” kind of time, think of the positive moments you can make at home with your family. We are pretty confident here at California Pools, that when we look back upon this time, we will remember the extra time with our kids and forced relaxation that made us slow down and count our blessings and special moments. So, with that said, make lemonade with your lemons and beautiful memories in your personal sanctuary. Enjoy your family time; go swimming, barbecue your dinner, play a board game, sit in the spa and gaze at the stars, go for a hike, and appreciate all that you CAN do during an isolating time.
